It is November first! Although I am sad to see October go, I'm excited for the rest of the holiday season even more!

October was amazing: I turned 24 on the 7th, had a mini vacation & had a great Halloween that I spent with Dia, my 3 year old! Since I wanted to relax on my birthday I ordered cupcakes from a local bakery, but made my own fondant toppers with Buddy Holly's picture on it, since he is my celebrity crush! Then for Halloween I made a Trick or Treat themed chocolate cake! Pictures to follow.

Happy Hollydays Cake I made for Aramco's Company Christmas Party lastnight. The cake flavor was Vanilla Egg Nog Pound Cake. Enjoy!

Welp! Today starts another busy week for me & Dollface Desserts. I have 3 cakes & 3 dozen cupcakes to make for the weekend. First up, I have a 2 tiered black/hot pink Zebra cake to do. After that, I have a 2 tiered  Thomas the Train cake, another Zebra cake with cupcakes & then finally some High heel & Purse cupcakes for Lady's Night at The Promise Church. Looks like another weekend in, & although my love life is non-exhistant because of weekends like this, I couldn't be bothered! I truely am inlove with what I do & I would trade making a cake for going to the club any day of the weekend! Not something a typical 23 year old would say, I know, but I guess that's what makes me, me.

Finally it's the week of Halloween! I have so many spooky themed orders for this week & it makes me more giddy than a school girl on Valentine's Day! Just this week I have 2 Halloween cookie orders, 2 Halloween cupcake orders & a 3 tiered Halloween cake order! Pictures to follow.

Maybe it's because I was born in October. Maybe it's because the Fall weather is absolutely perfect. Whatever it is, I LOVE HALLOWEEN! Seriously though, I'm obsessed.
Below is a "Trick or Treat" cake I made for Halloween, mixed with fondant made & real candy, it's made to look like a trick or treat bag! Enjoy!

Okay, so one of my most popular theme for cakes/cookies is animals, Safari/Jungle coming in first place. I get especially excited when I get these types of orders because I love making the whimsical looking animals out of fondant. Lately though, elephants are my favorite to make! I don't know if it's the big floppy ears, long kooky trunk or silly eyes, but I am elephant obsessed right now! My most recent creation were some Noah's Arc sugar cookies, that featured a couple of animals including a girly elephant (which I've named Elli. Yeah, creepy I know..) topped with a green bow on her head. Any ways, above are some of my elephant creations I hope you can enjoy & by all means if you need any elephant (or non elephant) cakes/cookies/cupcakes, let me know!

Lastnight I had a dream that I ran into one of my old school teachers & she wanted to open up shop with me. The joy & excitment I felt in the dream was indescribable. I was finally going to have my own Custom Cake Shop, & then I woke up. I tried quickly, to shut my eyes again & go back to this wonderful state of mind, but had no such luck. Having this dream reminds me of my ultimate goal & re-lit the fire under my bum, so to speak. If the feeling in my dream was that great, I can only imagine how it would, no, will feel in real life.
In other news, I have tons of cute cakes to work on this weekend including; a Prince Charming 2-tiered cake & smash cake, a Baby Betty Boop 2-tiered cake & 2 dozen Noah's Arc sugar cookies. I'm excited about all of these & will have photos up soon.
